Who is the Canadian SEO Fellow?

Hi! I’m Antoine Clerc-Renaud, also known as the Canadian SEO Fellow.

I won’t bore you with yet another sales pitch but let me tell you my story. I’m a millennial who grew up in France and later moved to Canada and I’ve lived through the rise of the internet. Since then, I’ve always wanted to work in this field in some capacity and I’m happy to say that I eventually did.

Whether it was as a writer for a variety of websites, including my own; as an SEO specialist in an agency for a wide range of clients; or even as a translator, I’ve always been comfortable working online.

Why did I choose SEO?

Since the day I discovered Search Engines with AltaVista, Lycos or Yahoo! back in 1997, I’ve always been curious as to how it works and how a website could rank. So I’ve been at it for a number of years.

However, it’s only recently in 2016 that I discovered the real power and potential of SEO. And I managed to rank many websites and increase the revenue of many businesses thanks to the techniques and good practices I’ve learned and continue to learn every day.

Despite its reputation, I find SEO fascinating. Why? Because as practice, it always keeps us on our toes as what worked yesterday is not guaranteed to work today.

I also love the challenge and investigative part when you look for issues and how to solve them so that your client’s website finally produces actionable results.
